Reduse, Reuse, Recycle.

This term we have been learning how to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and to 'Wise up on Waste'.
We had a rubbish audit of the class rubbish bin and our lunchboxes to see if we could Reduce our waste.
We talked about how we can Reuse products to make something else. We found objects in magazines and turned them into something useful.

We made hats out of recycled newspaper and a robot out of Recycled materials.

The Robot is called Robbie and the children came up with thier own ideas on how Robbie and Room 10 can look after our environment.

Room 10 looks fabulous in our recycled hats.

Room 10's Making and Creating Week.

The end of Term 1 finished with a fun, creative, making week.
Have a look at all the fun things we made.
The creative process belonged to the children.
They had lots of fun.

We had lots of laughs.

I took lots of photos.

On Monday we did 'Construction' with boxes, paper, foil, cellotape, straws and anything we could find that would be useful for our creations.

On Tuesday we made icing for our biscuits and then decorated them. They were delicious.

Which one looks the best to you?

On Wednesday we made Playdough with a friend. When we had finished playing with it we  took it home to play with.

On Thursday we made 'Gloop' and played with clay. We loved playing with the gloop it was sticky, smooth and fun to play with.

On Friday we played with the water paints and made beautiful paintings to take home.
